Research and Presentations by Gretchen Ruth Cusick

Gretchen Ruth Cusick is a senior researcher at Chapin Hall. Her research interests include youth offenders during the transition to adulthood, the dual involvement of youth in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems, and quantitative research methods. Dr. Cusick's projects include an examination of the multiple human and public service systems’ involvement of youth reentering the community from correctional institutions and a study of the offending patterns among youth aging out of the child welfare system. She also teaches a course on data for policy analysis and management at the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. She earned a Ph.D. in Sociology with an emphasis in crime, law, and justice from Pennsylvania State University, where she also received a departmental certificate in Quantitative Methods.
