Manager’s Excellence Series at the Northern California Training Academy, Center for Human Services at UC Davis Extension
Jennifer Miller Haight
Chapin Hall researchers are leading education and capacity building sessions for managers of county child welfare systems in northern California counties. The sessions focus on how managers in these counties could most effectively combine the data resources they have, and the mandates under which they are operating to develop an information management and operations strategy that will allow them to focus on the critical issues in their county child welfare system. Managers are especially interested in understanding how to make best use of their information resources to structure services that meet their needs and are consistent with their county’s system improvement plans. The sessions combine lectures, group exercises, and individual exercises, and are offered in series twice a year.
