Mapping the Geography of Opportunity: Neighborhood Effects of Employment Change in Chicago
In partnership with the University of Illinois at Chicago and the MacArthur Foundation, Chapin Hall will be provide expertise on the project “Mapping the Geography of Opportunity: Neighborhood Effects of Employment Change in Chicago.” Chapin Hall will conduct analysis of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) data. This data will be used to understand a number of characteristics for the project’s targeted community area. These characteristics include analysis of community area residents’ changing demographics over time and their use of WIA services, and the reach and types of WIA service providers within a community area over time. Analysis will focus on WIA adults and WIA dislocated workers in the targeted community areas.
