The University-Based Child and Family Consortium Child Welfare Learning Community Network
The University-Based Child and Family Policy Consortium includes over 30 university-based child and family policy centers, intermediaries, institutes, programs, and departments that represent the social, behavioral, and health sciences. Consortium members are highly regarded for their child policy expertise at the local, state, national, and international levels. Chapin Hall is partnering with three other members of the consortium to create a “learning community network” of researchers and policymakers. Duke University and the University of Minnesota will be two of these partners. This network will meet two times to identify best practices to enhance researcher-policymaker transactions. Additionally, this network will foster collaboration between researchers and policymakers on ways to improve outcomes for youth, especially for those in the child welfare system.
