Jeremy Martin

Associate Researcher (Data Engineer)

Jeremy Martin is an Associate Researcher (Data Engineer) at Chapin Hall. His responsibilities include organizing and presenting data, developing data management pipelines and databases, maintaining large project codebases, and creating interactive reports and visualizations. The technologies he uses most frequently are Python and Jenkins. Martin is a developer on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) project, a cloud-based environment for working with administrative data.

Prior to joining Chapin Hall, Martin worked for John Deere as a Product Engineer. There, he analyzed assignments using data acquisition software and Python to determine engineering specifications as analyzed factory line down time using machine learning algorithms to predict cycle time.

Martin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
