Project Coordinator, Center for State Child Welfare Data
Samantha Crockett is the Project Coordinator for the Center for State Child Welfare Data at Chapin Hall. The Data Center generates mission-critical knowledge for the field through research and educational programs. The experts use the data of the Multistate Foster Care Data Archive–a longitudinal archive containing the foster care records of approximately 3 million children nationwide–to help child welfare agencies inform policy and practice decisions to improve outcomes for children and families. Crockett ensures the efficient operation of the Data Center’s research team by providing administrative and project management support. She also works on the development, design, and implementation of the marketing and communications strategy for the Data Center.
Most recently, Crockett worked in administrative roles in the district offices of two U. S. representatives from Illinois. Prior to that, she was with Oxfam America’s Information Technology Department for 3 years, with progressive responsibility for service management and project management of the IT project portfolio. Her entire professional career has focused on operations and logistics, with many roles including administrative support for projects and teams.
Crockett received her Master of Science in Nonprofit Management & Philanthropy from Bay Path University and her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, with a Technical & Design Emphasis, from Carroll University.
