Alana Barr

Associate Policy Analyst

Alana Barr is an Associate Policy Analyst at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago. In this role, she supports various projects that contribute to the work of Chapin Hall’s Implementation Collaborative. Her portfolio focuses on working with jurisdictions to implement the Family First Prevention Services Act and assist agencies in building their capacity to implement evidence-based programs. Barr’s contributions include project management, policy analysis and literature reviews, and supporting continuous quality improvement.

Prior to joining Chapin Hall, Barr served as a Project Manager with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Geneva, Switzerland. There, she provided content development and implementation management for learning solutions and knowledge-sharing activities focused on building the capacity of Geneva-based diplomats and public sector professionals across the globe. Her work had a particular emphasis on supporting and promoting sustainable development in developing countries.

Barr holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy with a minor in Health, Medicine, and Society from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.
