Aspiring work
With each project we pursue, we assemble a team uniquely suited to meet the challenge of the work. These teams include subject matter experts in child well-being and public policy, as well as those with expertise in data management, IT, communications, and administrative functions.
Chapin Hall is a learning organization. We are committed to applying research to policy and practice. And we are committed to examining the effectiveness of our work and changing course when needed to have a greater impact.
Supportive environment
Chapin Hall provides a flexible and positive work environment. Most of our staff are in Chicago, but many others work remotely from locations across the country. Our strong research technology capacity and support allows for effective remote work.
Our offices are located on the beautiful University of Chicago campus, where we have access to libraries, art galleries, museums, theaters, bookstores, and restaurants. We have the benefit of the strong academic community of the university, and we are blocks away from the future Obama Presidential Center.
Chapin Hall’s Habitat Committee organizes regular social events to build community in the office. Monthly themed happy hours, summer picnics, and winter ice skating are among the many activities held throughout the year.
