Debangshu Roygardner

Senior Researcher

Dr. Debangshu Roygardner is a Senior Researcher at Chapin Hall where his work focuses on implementation science, continuous quality improvement, and program evaluation.

Prior to joining Chapin Hall, Roygardner was Manager of Data and Assessments for DC Government/DC Public Schools, working on program evaluation and data analysis for 0–5 programming in the District. He was also Director of Research and Evaluation at New York Foundling and was Board Director at the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children. Furthermore, Roygardner was the grant writer and Lead Evaluator on a 5-year, $2 million SAMHSA grant focused on the implementation of Trauma Systems Therapy in New York City child welfare. He is clinically trained and practiced as a clinical psychotherapist and Assistant Director for Mental Health at New York Foundling. He was also Assistant Director at the Vincent J. Fontana Center for Child Protection at New York Foundling.

Roygardner obtained his PhD in Psychology with a Developmental concentration and an Africana Studies Certificate at the Graduate Center at the City University of New York. He obtained his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at New York University and his BS in Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University, where he was a Posse Scholar.
