Paulette Phillips

Director of Accounting

Paulette Phillips is the Director of Accounting at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago. She is responsible for accounting operations, financial reporting, and managing the annual financial audit and tax filing. Paulette is a certified public accountant (CPA) with extensive experience working within large corporations and not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to coming to Chapin Hall, Paulette was owner of BYB Accounting Services, an accounting consulting firm that focused on serving small- to medium-sized businesses. Paulette also served as an adjunct professor at North Park University in the School of Business and Nonprofit Management. She was the Vice President, Finance at Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), a professional trade association for the meetings and convention industry. Paulette also worked for AT&T in various positions including Area Manager supporting the sales team, Capital Planning, Financial Due Diligence, and Accounting and Financial Reporting.

Paulette earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
