Chapin Hall

Prisca Tuyishime is an Associate Policy Analyst at Chapin Hall. In this role, she works with the implementation collaborative team to support Family Resource Centers to engage with their state partners around Family First community pathways. She also supports Nebraska’s implementation of the Child Welfare Family First Preservation Services Act and Maryland’s efforts to increase access to and support of postsecondary education opportunities for those transitioning out of foster care. She uses a variety of investigative, analytical, and evaluative research methods to serve the needs of organizations and deliver timely and actionable recommendations.

Prior to coming to Chapin Hall, Tuyishime worked as a Pozen Family Center for Human Rights fellow consulting for FXB International (Rwanda) by creating, translating, digitalizing a Beneficiary Exist Survey questionnaire for 200 beneficiaries in Mbare sector Muhanga District and Gisenyi sector Rubavu in Rwanda. At the University of Chicago Community Programs Accelerator, Tuyishime led a consulting project aimed at eradicating homelessness through communities on the South Side of Chicago. She also implemented an LGBTQIA-identifying refugee and asylee adolescent and young adult small group curriculum, through the RefugeeOne Wellness Program. Tuyishime was born in Rwanda and raised in Tanzania and Zambia.

Tuyishime has a Master of Arts in Clinical Social Work and Social Sector Leadership and Nonprofit Management from the University of Chicago. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology minor from Wheaton College.
