Brynne Townley
Associate Policy Analyst
Brynne Townley is an Associate Policy Analyst at Chapin Hall. She provides support for a team of policy and research staff in conducting analytical studies in child welfare evaluation research. Townley supports efforts to improve the amount, quality, storage, and usage of administrative data for program evaluations and continuous quality improvement. She also assists with the translation of research evidence into policy and practice recommendations. Townley’s areas of expertise include policy analysis, survey development, project management, and knowledge management. Townley is currently supporting the state of Illinois in their implementation and evaluation of evidence-based interventions such as Multisystemic Therapy and Motivational Interviewing under the Family First Prevention Services Act.
Prior to joining Chapin Hall, Townley worked as a project manager for the Duke Social Science Research Institute, where she managed the planning of a community data walk that focused on integrating the voices of community members into social and economic research in Charleston, SC. She also supported the work being done at the Duke Center for Child and Family Policy as a research assistant, where she focused on how economic support impacted children and families. Earlier in her career, she worked as a research manager for Qualtrics, where she designed and fielded surveys.
Townley holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
