Kaya West
Project Associate
Kaya West is a Project Associate at Chapin Hall, where she provides project management support aimed at promoting child and family well-being and preventing child welfare involvement. Her work involves monitoring project progress, maintaining work plans, developing meeting materials, creating and refining presentations, and supporting storage and organization of documents and data files. She also supports Chapin Hall’s broader knowledge management initiatives, working with colleagues across policy, research, and administration to share information and resources.
Prior to Chapin Hall, West gained experience as a policy intern, contributing research and data analysis for the development of more equitable higher education policies. She also interned as a youth engagement consultant at SAMHSA, where she developed innovative outreach strategies for youth populations related to mental health and substance use.
West graduated from the University of Chicago in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies.
